A Family History since 1957
In the heart of the year 2000, Angela and Simone transformed the Il Fiorino brand into a living testimony of continuity and passion for the dairy art. This leadership transition, which occurred seamlessly, marks the beginning of a new era for the company, with daughter Angela and husband Simone taking up the baton from Duilio Fiorini, the founder, with dedication.
The Founder, guardian of the company's roots and tradition, joins Angela and Simone in the courageous commitment to shape the future of the company. This meeting gave birth to the current incarnation of Il Fiorino, a company with a rich history of over sixty-five years, famous for producing the most awarded pecorino cheeses in the world.
Our Principles
The soul of Il Fiorino is reflected in fundamental pillars: constant commitment, overwhelming passion and unshakable determination. In over six decades, these principles have taken root, transforming Il Fiorino from a modest local reality to one of the most prestigious dairy companies in the world.
The winning formula is based on a few but solid principles. First of all, the quality of the raw materials, starting with the milk coming 100% from local Maremma sheep farms, an element that has become the distinctive feature of Il Fiorino. Secondly, meticulous care at every stage of the process. Angela and Simone always choose the best, from the selection of milk to the ingredients for the flavored products, from salt to rennet, right down to the wood used for the maturing boards.
No shortcuts are allowed. This is the essence of the philosophy of excellence that characterizes Il Fiorino.
Our Territory
For Angela and Simone, the Maremma and Roccalbegna represent the place that beats in their hearts. They have their roots here, they grew up and discovered the formula for Il Fiorino's success. This magic begins with milk, obtained exclusively from sheep raised within a 70 km radius, on the slopes of Mount Amiata. Maremma is the land they have chosen to embrace, investing in its development and looking to the future with the confidence that the growth of the territory is directly reflected on the prosperity of Il Fiorino, and vice versa.
